BAGHDAD: Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani affirmed Iraq’s commitment to enhancing its longstanding relationship with France across various sectors, particularly in culture, tourism, and archaeology. This statement was made during a joint press conference with the French Ambassador in Baghdad, highlighting a mutual interest in deepening cooperative efforts.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Badrani noted the historical depth of the Iraqi-French relations and expressed the Iraqi government’s intent to bolster these ties through joint activities and events. He mentioned that the recent visit of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani to France underscored the government’s dedication to this cause, supported by several signed agreements and protocols. The Minister also extended an invitation to the French Ambassador to organize French cultural events in Iraq, taking advantage of the country’s improved security and openness.
