BAGHDAD: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani convened with a delegation from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to discuss the ongoing development project of Baghdad International Airport, focusing on attracting investment and ensuring the project meets international standards. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting highlighted the steps taken by the IFC to engage 14 specialized airport management companies in the project. Al-Sudani emphasized the government's commitment to the airport's rehabilitation, a project which has undergone thorough analysis and discussion at both the government and Ministry of Transport levels. Al-Sudani noted that the project model incorporates numerous features that successful airports in the region have adopted. He directed that all development and rehabilitation operations align with the latest specifications and standards established by international aviation organizations. The project aims to achieve two main goals: increasing profits and revenues, and enhancing services for citizens.
