Iraqi Government Condemns Air Attack on Iran, Warns of Global Inaction

BAGHDAD: The Iraqi government has issued a stark warning about the potential repercussions of the international community's inaction in response to what it describes as Zionist aggression in the Middle East. This follows an air attack on Iranian targets, which Iraq attributed to Zionist forces. The government emphasized the need for immediate international intervention to curb further escalation in the region. According to National Iraqi News Agency, Bassem Al-Awadi, the Iraqi government spokesperson, expressed strong condemnation of the recent air attack on Iran, which occurred at dawn. Al-Awadi criticized the Zionist entity for its persistent aggressive policies and expansion of conflict across the region, highlighting the entity's history of unchecked aggression toward Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria. Al-Awadi underscored Iraq's longstanding warnings about the consequences of the international community's silence on what Baghdad views as brutal Zionist behavior. He reiterated Iraq's unwavering support for Iran and called for a halt to hostilities in Gaza and Lebanon. He urged for comprehensive regional and international efforts to enhance stability in the region.
