BAGHDAD: The Federal Police forces have apprehended five individuals accused of assaulting an exchange office in Baghdad, following a violent dispute that resulted in injuries to the owner and his brothers. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Federal Police Command reported that the incident occurred after a disagreement over a sum of money escalated into a physical altercation in the Sumer neighborhood of Baghdad. The confrontation led to the owner of the exchange office and his siblings suffering injuries from gunfire and bladed weapons. In response, a specialized security team was established under the guidance of the commander of the Fifth Division of the Federal Police, working in collaboration with associated security and intelligence units. The authorities engaged in a thorough investigation, which included inspection and extensive information gathering. This effort culminated in the identification and arrest of the five suspects in Sadr City, located in the eastern part of the capital. The search also resulted in the seizure of two M4 rifles and a Kalashnikov rifle from the accused individuals. The suspects have since been handed over to the relevant authorities for further legal proceedings.
