Baghdad: Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, has called upon the heads of parliamentary blocs and all representatives to actively participate in the crucial session scheduled for today. This session, set for Thursday, is dedicated to the election of a new Speaker of the House of Representatives.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mandalawi emphasized the necessity for representatives from all political components to be present in the Council Hall to cast their votes. He highlighted the importance of setting aside political disputes and differences during this critical election process. Furthermore, he urged national forces to act with caution and responsibility to fulfill the constitutional obligations that have been delayed for an extended period. Al-Mandalawi expressed hope that the session would successfully lead to the election of a Speaker who would contribute to enhancing the oversight and legislative functions of the House of Representatives, underscoring that
the decision is crucial for maintaining a significant component in the political process.
