Baghdad: Iraq’s Oil Minister, Bassem Mohammed Khudair Al-Abadi, has announced that while Iraq recently faced challenging times, the crisis is beginning to ease. He emphasized the ministry’s dedication to taking confident steps to support the national economy.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Abadi chaired a Crisis Cell meeting to discuss matters related to crude oil production, petroleum products, and export capacities. During this meeting, he extended congratulations to the Iraqi people on Sovereignty Day and National Day.
Al-Abadi highlighted that the ministry is making firm progress in increasing production and expanding export capacities, viewing the oil sector as a crucial pillar for supporting infrastructure and the national economy. Despite acknowledging ongoing challenges, he expressed optimism, crediting the determination of workers in the oil sector as a source of hope for overcoming the crisis and underscoring the importance of teamwork.
The meeting included the participation of Ministry undersecretaries, advisors, and directors general from various ministry formations.
