Geneva: Iraq has officially joined the Global Alliance for Social Justice, as announced by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Asadi. The announcement was made during the 352nd session of the Governing Council of the International Labor Organization (ILO) held in Geneva, marking a significant step for Iraq in its commitment to social justice. According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Asadi emphasized the importance of social justice to the Iraqi government, highlighting it as a core principle in its governmental programs. Since 2003, Iraq has been focused on legislating laws that promote social justice, and the decision to join the alliance was driven by a strong belief in the importance of these values. The move demonstrates Iraq's dedication to aligning with international efforts to promote equitable and fair labor practices globally.
