Al-Faw Grand Port Heralded as Iraq’s Largest Project by Prime Minister.

Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani emphasized the significance of Al-Faw Grand Port, describing it as Iraq's largest project, during a ceremony where the government received five berths crucial to the port's operation. According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani highlighted the progress made on the project, stating that it has begun integrating into global trade and transport routes across the Middle East. He announced that the first phase of the project is scheduled for completion next year, adhering to established timelines. Al-Sudani underscored Iraq's pivotal role in the global economy, asserting that Al-Faw Grand Port symbolizes a new era for the nation by serving as a conduit linking numerous countries in the region. He elaborated on the project's significance as an embodiment of development and economic transformation tailored to meet the country's needs. The Council of Ministers has backed the Ministry of Transport in revitalizing the railway systems to align with the road devel opment strategies. He concluded his speech by affirming that creating job opportunities and fostering economic growth remain top priorities. The Prime Minister pledged continued efforts to bolster the industry and trade sectors, enhance agricultural development, and expand trade relations globally through Al-Faw Grand Port and its associated development pathways.
