Biden Assures Peaceful Transfer of Power to Trump after Election Results.

Washington: Outgoing US President Joseph Biden announced today, Thursday, that he had assured his successor Donald Trump of working on a peaceful transfer of power. Biden said in his first speech after announcing the results of the US presidential elections the day before yesterday, Tuesday, in which Trump won: "I spoke to President Trump and congratulated him and assured him that my administration will work with his team for a peaceful transfer of power," adding, "We accept the choice the country has made in these elections." According to National Iraqi News Agency, Biden emphasized that Americans do not see each other as enemies but as fellow citizens. He reiterated the commitment to ensure a peaceful transition of power, slated to occur on January 20. Biden further asserted confidence in the fairness of the American electoral system, expressing trust in its integrity and highlighting the strong economy that his administration will leave behind. Biden also mentioned his conversation with his deputy and th e losing Democratic candidate in the elections, Kamala Harris. He encouraged Harris to be proud of her campaign, stating, "We have changed the United States for the better. The path ahead is clear. Our economy is strong and the situation is changing rapidly."
