Baghdad: The Federal Police arrested a person accused of promoting narcotics east of Baghdad. The arrest took place in Sadr City, a district known for its dense population and complex security challenges. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that the concerted efforts of the Fifth Division units, in collaboration with a detachment from the Iraqi National Security Service, led to the successful arrest. The authorities seized 1,700 Captagon pills along with a sum of money from the accused. The Ministry further added that the accused has been referred to the competent authorities along with the seized materials for further legal proceedings.
