Road Reconnecting Al-Askari and Al-Qadisiyah Neighborhoods Reopened After Two Decades


Kirkuk: Kirkuk Police Chief, Major General Fattah Al-Khafaji, announced the reopening of the road linking Al-Askari and Al-Qadisiyah neighborhoods in Kirkuk, which has been closed for twenty years.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Khafaji stated that this action follows the directives of the Minister of Interior and aims to alleviate traffic congestion, ease the burden on citizens, and reduce their suffering. The Kirkuk Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Directorate, in coordination with the Kirkuk Police Command, initiated the process of opening the road and removing concrete blocks. Concurrently, service departments have been engaged in cleaning the newly accessible route.
