Baghdad: Speaker of the House of Representatives Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani received the Yemeni Ambassador to Baghdad, Al-Khader Ahmed Marmoush, to discuss bilateral relations between Iraq and Yemen.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives stated that Al-Mashhadani and Marmoush deliberated on Iraqi-Yemeni relations, exploring ways to develop and enhance them to serve the political and economic interests of both countries.

Al-Mashhadani emphasized Iraq’s commitment to strengthening ties with Yemen and highlighted the importance of developing these relations. He acknowledged the efforts of the Yemeni representatives in international and regional matters.

The discussions also covered the situations in Lebanon and Palestine, stressing the need to restore normalcy, reduce the impacts of aggression, rebuild infrastructure, provide humanitarian aid, and promote community reconciliation in Syria.
