Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has emphasized that combating corruption is a shared responsibility that necessitates high coordination between the executive, legislative, and judicial authorities.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Prime Minister’s media office noted that Al-Sudani held a meeting with Ziad Tariq Al-Janabi, the head of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee. During this meeting, they reviewed the steps taken to combat financial and administrative corruption, focusing on the level of progress in this area, which is one of the government’s top priorities.
The Prime Minister reiterated the necessity of resolving ongoing investigations and follow-ups on corruption cases. He highlighted the importance of expediting the resolution of all corruption cases under investigation by the Integrity Commission, which requires continuous support from the relevant parliamentary committee.
