Baghdad: The Minister of Water Resources, Aoun Dhiab Abdullah, has engaged in discussions with Giorgi Gigauri, the head of the International Organization for Migration, to explore avenues for joint cooperation and assess the country’s irrigation and water status amidst global climate challenges, with a particular focus on Iraq.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry released a statement detailing the meeting between Dhiab Abdullah and Giorgi Gigauri, which took place in the minister’s office. The discussions centered on potential collaborative efforts between the ministry and the organization. The minister highlighted current and future plans designed to implement numerous projects aimed at benefiting the country and securing water allocations for agricultural lands.
Gigauri commended the ministry’s efforts during the discussions, acknowledging the initiatives undertaken to address the pressing water issues facing the nation.
