Ministerial Council for National Security Emphasizes Coordination in Defense and Electronic Industries


Baghdad: Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, chaired the periodic meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security, where the overall security situation in the country was discussed alongside agenda topics, leading to necessary decisions and recommendations.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah Al-Numan, stated that during the meeting, the Ministry of Interior was directed to support the operations room for radiation and nuclear emergencies through the National Center for Crisis and Disaster Management.



The Council also discussed the visit of a delegation from the Military Industrialization Authority to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to assess the defense industry products affiliated with the Pakistani Strategic Command. The Council highlighted the need for coordination in technical, defense, and electronic industries. It directed the Military Industrialization Authority to provide ministries with a list detailing its capabilities in manufacturing electronic devices and equipment, aiming to leverage these capabilities effectively.



Additionally, the Council emphasized the importance of coordination between the Military Industrialization Authority and the Ministry of Defense to ensure the handover of all war remnants sites to the Authority.
