New York: Iraq’s oil exports to the United States recorded a significant decline during the past week.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the US Energy Information Administration reported that the average US imports of crude oil from ten major countries amounted to 6.050 million barrels per day, an increase of 69 thousand barrels per day from the previous week, which stood at 5.981 million barrels per day.

The report highlighted that Iraq’s oil exports to America saw a considerable drop, reaching 99 thousand barrels per day. This represents a decrease of 237 thousand barrels per day from the previous week, where exports were at 336 thousand barrels per day.

The Administration further detailed that the largest oil revenues for America during the past week came from Canada, with imports at a rate of 4.063 million barrels per day. This was followed by Saudi Arabia, which exported oil at a rate of 488 thousand barrels per day, Libya at an average of 324 thousand barrels per day, and Brazil at an average of 254 thousand barrels per day.

Additionally, the data indicated that American imports of crude oil from Venezuela were at a rate of 214 thousand barrels per day. Imports from Ecuador were at a rate of 157 thousand barrels per day, Nigeria at a rate of 152 thousand barrels per day, Colombia at a rate of 150 thousand barrels per day, and Mexico at a rate of 149 thousand barrels per day.
