Baghdad:Oil Minister Bassem Khudair al-Abadi emphasized the importance of U.S. companies in developing Iraq’s oil and gas industry, highlighting their technical expertise, advanced technologies, and efficiency.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Abadi stated that collaboration with American firms is crucial for enhancing Iraq’s oil sector capabilities and improving production efficiency.

The ministry is actively working to remove obstacles and expedite contracting procedures to launch strategic projects with major U.S. energy companies such as Chevron, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, Halliburton, and Schlumberger.

These initiatives are expected to contribute significantly to developing oil and gas fields, boosting production, and ensuring the optimal use of natural resources. Al-Abadi noted that the projects would also facilitate technology transfer, upgrade infrastructure, and support Iraq’s broader economic development goals.
