Aoun Signs Decree Forming New Lebanese Government of 24 Ministers


Beirut: Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun has signed a decree forming the new Lebanese government, which consists of 24 ministers. This decree marks a significant step in Lebanon’s political landscape, as it involves the acceptance of the resignation of the former government led by Prime Minister Najib Mikati.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Lebanese presidency announced that President Aoun signed a decree accepting the resignation of Prime Minister Mikati’s government. Subsequently, a decree was issued assigning Prime Minister Nawaf Salam to form the new government, ushering in a fresh administrative era for Lebanon amidst its ongoing challenges.
