Baghdad: The First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, has underscored the need to bolster the supervisory role to ensure the successful completion of projects. During a meeting at his residence with several members of the Baghdad Provincial Council, Al-Mandalawi discussed the hurdles facing the implementation of various service projects and explored strategies to enhance coordination between the legislative authority and the Provincial Council. This effort aims to improve the overall conditions in the capital.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mandalawi emphasized the importance of dialogue and understanding to resolve differences among council members, urging them to avoid political disputes that could impede their work. He highlighted the necessity of maintaining strong communication with the Council of Representatives to overcome challenges in executing essential projects, particularly in infrastructure, health, education, and transportation sectors. Additionally, plans are in motion to advance the water and electricity sectors to meet the increasing demands of Baghdad’s residents.

Al-Mandalawi reiterated the significance of activating the supervisory role to ensure projects are completed to the required quality standards. He called for decisive action against any shortcomings or delays that could affect citizens’ lives. He further noted that the stability and unity of the provincial council are crucial for enhancing service delivery, stressing that the interests of Baghdad and its people should take precedence over other considerations.
