Baghdad: Speaker of the House of Representatives Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani emphasized that the rejection of the appeal against the general amnesty law represents a significant opportunity for citizens to return to a free life and contribute to the construction and stabilization of the country.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mashhadani expressed his commitment to the cause, stating that efforts were made to attain political consensus within Parliament to pass the general amnesty law, fulfilling a promise to the mothers of the innocent and addressing the plight of those in prisons. He highlighted the success of the initiative, noting that others had previously failed to achieve such a consensus.

Al-Mashhadani further congratulated the innocent and those who have been awaiting this decision, underscoring the importance of this opportunity for citizens to actively participate in the nation’s development and maintain its stability.
