Baghdad: The activities of the third conference to mark the International Day for the Prevention of Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism commenced today in Baghdad. The event is organized by the National Security Chancellery’s “National Committee for Implementing the Strategy to Combat Violent Extremism,” in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the conference saw the participation of National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji, along with Arab and foreign ambassadors. Representatives from international missions, UN organizations, and academic figures were also present at the event. The conference aims to address and strategize on measures to prevent violent extremism that could lead to terrorism.
