Baquba: A security detachment has arrested a foreign truck driver and his companion on charges of possessing narcotic drugs at a border port northeast of Baquba, the center of Diyala Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brigadier Haitham Al-Shammari, Director of Diyala Police Information, reported that the arrest was carried out by a security detachment supported by delegates from the police training department in Diyala Police. The individuals were found with materials suspected of being narcotic.

Brigadier Al-Shammari stated that legal measures have been taken against the suspects, and both the truck and the arrested individuals have been handed over to the competent security authorities for further investigation.
