Baghdad: The First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, affirmed that the law regarding the return of real estate has delivered justice to many Iraqis.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from Al-Mandalawi’s office indicated that he welcomed several sheikhs and dignitaries from the Khanaqin District in Diyala Governorate at his residence. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the conditions of the district’s residents and address their needs and concerns through relevant authorities.
During this gathering, Al-Mandalawi was honored by the Khanaqin sheikhs and dignitaries for his pivotal role in the approval of the law on the return of state real estate to rightful owners, which was affected by decisions from the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council. Al-Mandalawi reiterated that the Council of Representatives is committed to enacting legislation that rectifies injustices faced by many Iraqis. He pledged to work closely with the relevant authorities to ensure the implementation of measures that return rights taken away by the previous regime’s arbitrary decisions.
