Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command announced the removal of “abandoned” and distorted concrete blocks and towers from main roads and public places.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the command stated in a statement that the forces of Baghdad Operations Command continued to remove the abandoned and distorted concrete blocks and towers from main roads and public places. This initiative aims to reduce the burden on citizens and ensure a high flow of traffic. The engineering units of the 17th Infantry Division have commenced removing the concrete blocks spread within the areas of Sayyid Abdullah and Awda Al-Shukr, as well as the road adjacent to Al-Qassab Bridge, south of Baghdad.
The statement further explained that Baghdad Operations Command continues to implement its plan to remove all old “abandoned” concrete blocks on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa.
