Gaza: The Islamic Resistance Movement, commonly known as Hamas, handed over the bodies of four Israelis in Gaza to the Red Cross on Thursday morning. In a parallel development, the Israeli army radio broadcasted an announcement regarding the planned release of approximately 25 Palestinian prisoners.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Abu Obeida, the military spokesman for the Qassam Brigades, emphasized the respect shown during the ceremony of handing over the bodies. He expressed that the resistance movement sought to honor the sanctity of the deceased, contrasting this with the treatment the prisoners allegedly received while alive.
Obeida further stated that the Qassam Brigades endeavored to preserve the lives of the captives, providing what they could and treating them humanely. He accused the Israeli army of killing these prisoners by bombing their detention locations. He also held the Israeli government accountable for the deaths, citing repeated obstructions to an exchange agreement.
