Moscow: Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 20 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory last night, as announced by the Russian Defense Ministry today.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Russian Defense Ministry detailed these interceptions, stating that Ukrainian drones were attempting to carry out attacks on Russian soil. The air defense systems successfully thwarted these attempts.

The ministry’s statement specified that 5 drones were destroyed over the Oryol Region, 4 over Belgorod Region, and another 4 over the Kursk Region. Additionally, 3 drones were neutralized over the Lipetsk Region, with 2 drones each intercepted over the Tula and Voronezh Regions.

The incident highlights the ongoing tensions and the measures being taken to protect Russian territory from aerial threats.
