Cairo: Hamas announced a solution to end the delay in the release of Palestinian detainees, who were supposed to be freed last week as part of the final phase of a ceasefire agreement with the Zionist entity.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Hamas revealed that during its visit to Cairo, an agreement was reached to address the issue of the delayed release. The resolution involves the simultaneous release of Palestinian prisoners and the bodies of Zionist prisoners, as agreed in the first phase of the ceasefire, alongside the release of Palestinian women and children.

Hamas’ statement detailed that its delegation, led by Khalil al-Hayya, concluded discussions with Egyptian officials in Cairo. These discussions focused on the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, the prisoner exchange, and negotiations for the second phase of the agreement.

The delegation emphasized, in the statement, the importance of adhering to the terms of the agreement in full and ensuring precise commitment to all its stages.
