Basra: Security forces arrested a drug dealer in Basra with 3 kg of crystal meth in his possession.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by the Ministry of Interior revealed that a force from the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in Diwaniyah, in collaboration with the Directorate of Narcotics Affairs in Basra Governorate, successfully apprehended the individual during a targeted operation.

The ministry’s statement clarified that the arrest was made possible after another suspect, previously apprehended by the Narcotics Directorate in Diwaniyah, confessed to being involved in drug trafficking. This confession led to the identification and subsequent arrest of the drug dealer in Basra. The authorities have taken measures to ensure the accused is referred to the judiciary for prosecution.
