Washington: Iraq’s oil exports to America saw a decrease last week, as reported by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA). The EIA announced that Iraq exported over 200 thousand barrels to America during the past week.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the EIA provided a detailed table showing that the average US imports of crude oil from nine major countries reached 5.535 million barrels per day. This figure represents an increase of 260 thousand barrels per day from the previous week’s total of 5.275 million barrels per day.

The report highlighted that Iraq’s oil exports to America specifically amounted to 228 thousand barrels per day. This marks a reduction of 29 thousand barrels per day compared to the previous week’s export, which stood at 257 thousand barrels per day.

The EIA further noted that the majority of America’s oil imports during the past week were sourced from Canada, with substantial contributions also coming from Mexico, Venezuela, and Saudi Arabia. Additionally, the table indicated that the US continued to import crude oil from countries such as Ecuador, Brazil, Colombia, and Nigeria.
