Baghdad: The Spokesman for the Sadiqoun Parliamentary Bloc, Muhammad Al-Baldawi, confirmed today, Sunday, that the American presence in Iraq represents a threat to the sovereign and political will in the country, stressing the need to complete the government procedures aimed at organizing and legalizing this presence.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Baldawi stated that “the American presence on Iraqi territory has been rejected from the beginning,” calling for moving forward with the steps that the government has begun to organize and end it. He added that the continued presence of American forces poses “a major threat to the sovereignty and political independence of Iraq,” stressing that the situation requires serious action to end this presence that exposes the country to many risks.

Al-Baldawi pointed out that “the clear American bias towards the Zionist entity makes it impossible for Iraq to be safe” as long as this military presence continues.
