Ankara: The Turkish capital Ankara will host talks tomorrow, Monday, between Turkish and British officials, focusing on lifting sanctions on Syria. Turkish diplomatic sources stated in a media circular today that the consultative talks will be chaired by Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Nuh Yilmaz and Minister of State for the Middle East at the British Foreign Office Hamish Faulkner.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the talks are scheduled to cover regional issues on the joint agenda, with a primary focus on Syria. Yilmaz is expected to convey Turkey’s perspectives and aspirations regarding Syria’s security, stability, and economic situation to the British delegation.

The discussions will highlight the importance of the international community’s support for Syria’s administration in its efforts to achieve national reconciliation within a centralized government. The necessity of completely lifting sanctions to facilitate Syria’s reconstruction and economic development will be a focal point of the talks.

Additionally, the talks will emphasize that terrorism has no place in Syria’s future, and the discussions will address the need to halt Israeli violations and threats to Syria’s sovereignty.
