Diyala: A government source announced the shutdown of the main power line coming from Iran and feeding the cities of Diyala. The source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “The main power line coming from Iran, Mirsad – Diyala, went out suddenly without knowing the reasons, which led to the loss of more than 300 megawatts in the province.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the source added: “The shutdown of the Mirsad – Diyala power line caused an increase in the hours of power outages in most areas of the province,” indicating: “The government agencies continue their efforts by making intensive contacts with the Iranian side to clarify the reasons for the shutdown.”
