Kiev: Western satellite experts who were stationed in Kiev to aid Ukrainian forces in gathering and analyzing satellite intelligence have reportedly vacated their military headquarters in the city.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the departure of these experts was highlighted in a “Time” magazine report, which cited a source close to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The report did not disclose the identities of the experts or specify the countries they represented. In response to this development, some European intelligence agencies have expressed their willingness to assist in bridging the gap left by the absence of these Western experts in satellite data analysis.

Additionally, two Ukrainian military personnel, whose identities remain undisclosed, have acknowledged the challenges faced in developing local systems. They noted that achieving the level of intelligence capabilities previously provided by the United States would take time and is unlikely to happen in the short term. Earlier statements from CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed a halt in intelligence sharing with Ukraine. Furthermore, Washington has prohibited its allies from sharing intelligence data with Kiev and has suspended all forms of military aid until President Donald Trump determines that Ukraine is genuinely committed to peace negotiations.
