Baghdad: Iraq and the United States of America engaged in discussions on bilateral relations and regional and global issues. The meeting took place between the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral Affairs and Legal Affairs, Ambassador Shorsh Khalid Saeed, and Elizabeth Kennedy Trudeau, Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States of America. Also present was Dr. Diyari Majeed, Head of the Americas Department.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting involved an exchange of views on several topics. These included Iraq’s upcoming presidency of the Group of 77 and China in 2025, current events in Syria, Iraq’s preparations for hosting the Arab Summit next May, and consular cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of strengthening joint cooperation in multilateral diplomacy and coordinating mutual support in international forums to benefit both countries.
