Karbala: Civil Defense teams retrieved the body of a three-year-old girl from under the rubble of an old, dilapidated house that collapsed in the center of Karbala Governorate on Thursday afternoon.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a source in the Civil Defense Directorate stated that the teams intensified their efforts and began precise searches using hand-held excavation equipment. This was done to reduce the vibration of the house’s remains and prevent further collapse of the remaining parts of the building. After strenuous efforts, the teams successfully removed the rubble and retrieved the body, which was subsequently handed over to the Forensic Medicine Department.
