Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein has extended an official invitation to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to attend the 34th Arab Summit, which will be hosted in Baghdad this month.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, El-Sisi welcomed the invitation, expressing his appreciation to both the President and Prime Minister of Iraq. He highlighted the depth of historical relations between Egypt and Iraq, underscoring the close ties between the two nations.
El-Sisi also affirmed Egypt’s commitment to ensuring the success of the upcoming Arab Summit in Baghdad. He pledged full support for the forthcoming Iraqi presidency of the Arab Summit, especially given the circumstances facing the Arab region, which necessitate full solidarity among Arab countries.
