Tehran: The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed on Friday that “negotiations with the United States are taking place in a professional atmosphere.” The discussions, which mark the fifth round of indirect negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, are currently underway in Rome.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iranian Foreign Ministry emphasized that the negotiations are being conducted in a “professional, reasonable, and calm atmosphere.” The talks are focused on technical details, with discussions continuing at the technical team level. The Ministry also noted that the US Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, had to leave the negotiations due to a previously scheduled flight.
The negotiations between Tehran and Washington commenced on Friday in the Italian capital, Rome. These discussions represent an ongoing effort to address various issues of mutual concern between the two nations.
