Baghdad: The Popular Mobilization Commission has affirmed its status as a sacred national institution and has called for its exclusion from any electoral or political conflict. The Commission emphasized the importance of keeping this institution away from political disputes.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Commission expressed deep regret over recent media statements by a political figure accusing the Tribal Mobilization Forces of various untrue allegations. These claims included the lack of information about the directorates and that some names were wanted or subject to legal proceedings. The Commission refuted these accusations, stating that all units possess specialized intelligence and security apparatuses linked to the PMF directorates, ensuring the continuous monitoring of each member’s file.

The Commission clarified that all information regarding members is recorded and archived with the central administration, adhering to official procedures and regulations. It countered claims that information was withheld or unavailable, pointing out that members of the Tribal Mobilization Forces have made significant sacrifices for Iraq’s security and continue to do so in defense of the nation.

The Commission noted that the statements are part of propaganda campaigns and political targeting, which intensify as elections approach. The Commission reiterated its call to keep the PMF out of controversies that harm unity and the sacrifices made by its members.

The statement concluded with a renewed call for adherence to the honor of adversaries, urging political figures not to involve the PMF in electoral conflicts, thereby preserving the unity and sacrifices of its heroes.
