Moscow: A terrorist operation planned by Ukrainian security services in Moscow was thwarted today, as reported by the Russian Investigative Committee. The authorities successfully intercepted the attack, which was being prepared in the capital under the directives of Ukrainian intelligence, and arrested the suspect involved.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the committee stated that legal actions have been initiated against the suspect, with a criminal investigation launched under the Russian Criminal Code. This investigation pertains to Part 1 of Article 30 and Clause “a” of Part 2 of Article 205, which address crimes related to the preparation of terrorist acts.

Furthermore, the competent court has granted the prosecution’s request to hold the suspect in pretrial detention until the investigation is concluded.
