Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced on Saturday that his country had received the new US proposal on outstanding issues and would respond to it in a manner that guarantees the interests and rights of the Iranian people.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a joint statement with the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, the Iranian Foreign Ministry expressed its regret over the publication of the IAEA report, considering it does not reflect the true level of Iran's cooperation with the agency. The statement emphasized that Tehran has repeatedly emphasized the absence of any undeclared nuclear site or activity, and described the report as prepared for political purposes.

For its part, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on the IAEA report, saying that its contents clearly demonstrate that Iran is determined to complete its nuclear weapons program. It emphasized that the Iranian program is no longer peaceful, and that the international community must act immediately to stop Iran and prevent it from acquiring nuclear capabilities.

This mutual escalation comes at a time of increasing warnings of the collapse of the nuclear understandings, amid varying international pressures, including efforts to de-escalate and positions calling for increased oversight and accountability.
