Lebanon: Two Persons Killed in Two Israeli Airstrikes on the South of the Country

Lebanon: Two people were killed on Sunday in two Israeli drone strikes on the Nabatieh Governorate in southern Lebanon, marking a new violation of the ceasefire agreement. The Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed the incidents, stating that a person lost their life in an airstrike launched by Israeli forces targeting a car on the road to Debel in the Bint Jbeil district of Nabatieh Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the official Lebanese National News Agency had earlier reported that a person was injured when an Israeli drone targeted a Rapid vehicle on the Aita al-Shaab-Debel road in the Bint Jbeil district. The victim in the Ministry of Health’s statement is likely the same individual mentioned in this report.

This incident marks the second fatality in Lebanon on Sunday. Earlier, an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle with a guided missile on the road to the town of Arnoun al-Shaqif in Nabatieh, resulting in the death of a Lebanese citizen.

In recent days, the region has seen an escalation in violence, with two people killed on Thursday and a third on Saturday in Israeli strikes targeting areas in southern Lebanon.
