Kirkuk: The Military Intelligence Directorate announced on Wednesday the arrest of a “transporter and financier” of terrorist gangs in Kirkuk Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Military Intelligence Directorate stated in a statement that “in a qualitative operation based on accurate intelligence information from the 11th Division’s Intelligence Branch, and in cooperation with the Iraqi security forces holding the area of responsibility, and through a raid on the terrorist element’s location, the operation resulted in the arrest of a member of the defeated ISIS terrorist gangs wanted under Article 2 of the Anti-Terrorism Law in Hawija District.”

The Directorate added that “we seized light and medium weapons and technical materials in his possession, and also transported and financed some terrorist elements, including weapons, ammunition, various technical materials, military equipment, and medical supplies.” It noted that “he was duly handed over to the requesting party after completing the necessary legal procedures against him.”
