Israeli Soldier Killed and Four Others Wounded in Northern Gaza Clashes

Gaza Strip: An Israeli soldier was killed and four others were wounded in clashes with resistance forces in northern Gaza, the Israeli occupation army confirmed this morning. The incident highlights the ongoing tensions and violence in the region, particularly in the northern Gaza Strip.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Israeli army reported that a first sergeant from the 6646th Reconnaissance Battalion was killed and another soldier was seriously injured during the fighting. Additionally, Israeli media confirmed that three soldiers were wounded in Jabalia, north of the Strip, after a drone operated by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, dropped an explosive device on an Israeli military unit.

On Tuesday, another Israeli soldier was killed and two others were wounded during intense clashes in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, in the central Gaza Strip. Reports from Israeli news websites indicated that a drone dropped a bomb on soldiers in Shuja’iyya, leading to violent exchanges between the resistance and the Israeli army.

Military helicopters were dispatched to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv and Soroka Hospital in Beersheba to evacuate the wounded soldiers. The Israeli air force is providing air cover for ground troops operating in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, as the situation remains volatile.
