Syria: Israeli Bombing Resumes on Sites in Daraa

Damascus: The Israeli army renewed its bombing of sites in Daraa Governorate, southern Syria, in addition to launching raids on towns in the Damascus countryside. Media outlets in Damascus reported that Israel renewed its missile strikes on the 175th Regiment near the city of Izra and the Tal al-Mal area north of Daraa. Meanwhile, warplanes launched raids on the towns of Sa’sa’ and Kanaker in the Damascus countryside.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, preliminary information indicates that another raid targeted the 121st Brigade in Qatana, in the Damascus countryside. No casualties were reported, while reconnaissance and warplanes continued to fly over the area. The Israeli army reported the destruction of weapons it said belonged to the Syrian regime in the south of the country, in response to shells fired toward Israeli territory.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry issued a statement today, Wednesday, regarding Tel Aviv’s announcement that two projectiles fired from Syria had fallen in uninhabited areas in Israel.
