Gas Cylinder Explosion in Babylon Restaurant Injures Thirty

Babylon: Thirty people were injured in a gas cylinder explosion at a restaurant in the western Hamza district, south of Hillah, the capital of Babylon Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the explosion caused significant injuries among the patrons and staff present at the restaurant. Emergency services were quick to respond to the incident, with ambulance teams arriving promptly at the scene to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured.

Dr. Jawad Al-Birmani, Director of the Babylon Health Department, reported that seven of the injured individuals are in critical condition, necessitating urgent medical attention. The emergency teams worked diligently to stabilize those affected and transport them to nearby medical facilities for further treatment.

The cause of the explosion is still under investigation as authorities work to determine the circumstances leading to the incident. The local community is urged to remain cautious and adhere to safety protocols to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
