A Phone Call Between Saudi Crown Prince and Iranian President

Riyadh: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held phone talks on Thursday. The leaders discussed enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the two nations, focusing on strengthening ties based on shared Islamic principles and regional stability.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Pezeshkian praised the distinguished services provided to pilgrims, particularly Iranian pilgrims, and affirmed Iran’s commitment to strengthening its relations with Saudi Arabia. He emphasized his country’s determination to expand cooperation to serve the interests of Islamic peoples and enhance regional security, stability, and prosperity.

IRNA reported that Mohammed bin Salman highlighted the importance of bolstering Saudi-Iranian relations, noting that this positive trend not only benefits both countries but also enhances cooperation and stability across the Islamic world. The Saudi Crown Prince expressed the Kingdom’s readiness to develop bilateral relations and expand interaction to align with the aspirations of both peoples, according to IRNA.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) noted that President Pezeshkian expressed gratitude to the Kingdom for its efforts and services provided to pilgrims. The leaders also exchanged Eid al-Adha greetings, underscoring the cordial nature of their communication.
