Moscow: Russia pledged to respond to the recent Ukrainian attacks targeting military facilities in a timely manner, noting its communication with the United States regarding the escalation pursued by Kyiv since the beginning of June.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for the Russian presidency, confirmed in press statements on Thursday that “the Russian army will respond to the recent attacks launched by Ukraine in a timely manner,” noting that “President Vladimir Putin informed his US counterpart Donald Trump of Moscow’s commitment to responding to these attacks.”

He indicated that “Putin and Trump did not discuss holding a direct meeting between them during their conversation,” noting that “they agreed on the necessity of holding such a meeting after careful preparation”.
