Riyadh: The Saudi General Authority for Statistics has revealed that the total number of pilgrims for this year’s Hajj reached 1,673,230. This figure includes 1,506,576 pilgrims who arrived from outside the Kingdom through various ports of entry, while 166,654 pilgrims were domestic, comprising both citizens and residents.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Authority’s statistical results indicated that the number of male pilgrims from both domestic and international groups stood at 877,841, while the number of female pilgrims was 795,389. The data provided insights into the distribution and arrival methods of the pilgrims, highlighting the Kingdom’s efforts in managing one of the largest religious gatherings in the world.
In terms of arrival statistics for international pilgrims, the Authority detailed that 1,435,017 male and female pilgrims entered through airports. Additionally, 66,465 pilgrims arrived via land ports, and 5,094 pilgrims made their journey by sea. These figures underscore the logistical operations undertaken to accommodate the influx of pilgrims and ensure a smooth Hajj process.
