A Source in Diyala Denies Closure of Two Border Crossings with Iran

Diyala: A government source denied circulating reports about the closure of two border crossings in Diyala due to the current situation in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the source told the agency’s correspondent that what was circulated on some social media sites about the Iranian side closing Al-Mundhiriyah border crossing northeast of Baqubah and Mandali border crossing east of Baqubah is inaccurate, and the claims are denied completely.

The source confirmed that the two border crossings are operating normally in accordance with approved official procedures, and there are no indications of exceptional or security measures affecting their normal operation.
