Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed that the Zionist attacks on Iran represent a flagrant violation of international law and a threat to regional peace.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, his media office said in a statement that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani held a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on Monday. The two sides discussed the latest developments in the security situation in the region, in light of the ongoing Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The statement highlighted Al-Sudani’s assertion that the Zionist attacks on Iran constitute a clear breach of international law, emphasizing Iraq’s firm rejection of any violation of its airspace, which he described as a breach of sovereignty and a transgression of international laws and conventions.

The Prime Minister underscored the need for increased coordination and cooperation among Arab and Islamic countries to halt the Zionist aggression and support the negotiation process between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States.

In response, the Emir of Qatar expressed his support for Iraq’s sovereignty and the Iraqi government’s diplomatic efforts to ensure security and stability, as well as to prevent the escalation of the conflict.
